How did I get my experience?
I worked for 12 years as a line manager with the Manpower Services Commission and became involved in training and coaching mangers as part of my role as Marketing Manager for London's 120 Jobcentres. I moved into full-time training in 1984 and worked as a Management Tutor at The Electricity Council's Residential Staff College.
I established Davies Training Services in 1989 and my work has involved extensive travel throughout the UK, working both with my own clients, and as an Associate with several leading HRD consultancies and Business Schools. I work with individuals; teams and organisations taking a practical approach in helping them enhance their people development, leadership and relationship management skills.
I am also the author of several books articles and learning packages aimed at maximising individual performance and potential whilst maintaining their personal effectiveness and work-life balance. These include three of Fenman Training's all-time best sellers: "Unlocking Your Peoples' Potential" "The Manager as Trainer, Coach and Guide" and “The Essentials of Management”. Their success led to the award of the inaugural "Fenman Author of the Year” in 1996.
