Recent CIPD research shows that over 87% of UK training managers now use coaching and mentoring to support people to manage their own learning and development.
A survey published by the International Personnel Management Assoc in
Public Personnel Management in the winter of 1997 stated that those
individuals who received training alone improved by 22.4%, whilst training
plus coaching improved performance by 88%.
